The Children's Village
Aims
Sure Start is a government initiative dedicated to support families during the early years, by offering help with:- Early Learning
- Health and family support
- Affordable, high-quality childcare
- Training and employment opportunities
The Children's Village Sure Start programme is a new centre built especially for local families with children under four years old.
Services
This new development features a:- Activity room- for session activities
- Creche- for shoppers creche and training sessions
- Parents Resource Area- with refreshment area
- Training Suite- with computers and internet access
- Neighbourhood Nursery- offering 53 full-time places
Sure Start also runs services from a range of satellite centres accross the Children's Village area, which include the Sure Start Community Room at Trinity Primary School, a day nursery on Chervil Rise, and facilities at Long Ley School, all conveniently located for local families.
