WOW has received funding from Barrow Cadbury to work with the Women's Design Service and The Haven to create a Women's Design Group in the City. We have held one meeting and are planning another in January. We are working together to organise a training programme and a series of themed meetings. We aim to make our City's new buildings and open spaces more women-friendly and make a different for women in the City.
Disability (full title tbc)
The Haven Wolverhampton are working in partnership with WOW and other networks in the city to shape support and best practise provision for women who have a disability and are experiencing/or who have experienced domestic violence/abuse.
Women and Design Project
Involving women in ongoing design and regeneration projects across wolverhampton This project will begin with a half day event from 10-1pm on the morning of the 10th June (see Women and Design Events page for details)
Gender Duty Project
The Project will begin with a workshop on 20th May to bring partners up to speed on what exactly is entailed in the GED. This will be from 10-12 am and will involve about 10-12 people. Partners can use the learning to disseminate information to their own Network Groups and do some work on this prior to the Event eg. Drama or music from CYP.
Commissioning Work For WOW
Wolverhampton Network Consortium are the funders of this current project, which is running from April 2008 to September 2008. The project aims to actively engage with the full range of women's groups within the city.
