Aims
Our aim is to support the delivery of the City Strategy by improving the role of women in the labour market: reduce disadvantage and improve equal opportunities.Improving access to learning and removing barriers to employment for Lone Parents and Young mums within the Walsall, Wolverhampton and Dudley area.
Services
Participants will recieve Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) and accredited training courses, Job search support and the arrangement of Work placements (in which participants can gain real work experience).Support package includes:
- Initial Assessment
- Learner Action Plan
- Individually-tailored Job Search Program, CVs, Finding vacancies, Personal Presentation, Interview Techniques (Workshops)
- Matrix-accredited Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG)
- Mentoring/Coaching through a range of issues (barriers)

Accredited Vocational Training
- OCR ITQ Level II
- OCR Customer Service Level II
- NCFE Employment Skill Levels I, II
- Core Skills Support (including Skills for Life to Entry Level III)
Eligibility
- Female
- Aged 16 to 64 years
- Employed or unemployed status
- Young mums 16 to 18
- Lone parents 18 years upwards
- Located within the Walsall, Wolverhampton and Dudley area
